Magellan 8300 In-Counter Scanner Scale with EAS Checkpoint

Magellan 8300 is an affordable, high reliability, high quality and performance scanner-scale and great value. The 8300 is available in either scanner only or scanner/scale combination. Its all-weighs scale platter ensures accurate bulk food and produce weighing. This POS device has two remote display options - a single sided scale display on a display pole, a dual scale display on a display pole, for use in environments that require separate displays - one side facing the cashier and the other side facing the customer. The scanner only model of the Magellan 8300 is available in long platter, medium platter, and short platter, making it possible to accommodate variety of POS System configurations.

The Datalogic's FirstStrike special software for barcode decoding provides the scanner/scale with the best scanning speed as well as improve the first pass read rates of those damaged, poorly printed, or wrinkled bar codes, allowing the scanner to deliver an improved efficiency at point of sale checkout. Magellan 8300 scanner scale also features an integrated auxiliary serial RS232 port that can be used in such cases as adding or connecting a handheld scanner, configuring and programming the scanner/scale, or even to access the label data output of the device. The 8300 has optiona model with Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS), and a Checkpoint EAS can be added. Magellan 8300 is compatible with adaptive scales such as Mettler, and Bizerba.
