Magellan 8400 Scanner Scale | 5-Sided POS Scanner

Semicron Systems provides the Magellan 8400 bi-optic scanner scale with high performance 5-sided POS scanner. Magellan 8400 is affordable, efficient, and reliable, with improved operational efficiency that achieves a very high first-pass read rate, high value and fast customer checkout process and productivity. Magellan 8400 is available in scanner only or scanner with scale combination. The scanner with scale combination also features the Datalogic All-Weighs platter which helps to ensure that accurate weights of produce and bulk foods are achieved at point of sale checkout. The scanner with scale combination model is also available in two remote scale pole display options. The single or one-sided scale display on a pole displays only for either the customer or the cashier. The dual scale display on a single pole displays for both the cashier and customer separately. Magellan 8400 scanner/scale comes in long platter, medium platter, and short platter options to accommodate variety of POS System configurations.

With the Datalogic advanced software, Magellan 8400 scanner scale is able to read poorly printed, wrinkled or damaged bar codes, allowing it to provide a high efficiency customer checkout at point of sale. Magellan 8400 also has a built-in auxiliary Serial RS-232 port that can be used to either connect a handheld barcode scanner, program and configure the scanner, or access the scanners data output. In applications where electronic article surveillance use is required, the scanner/scale can be configured with EAS Checkpoint. The 8400 scanner can also support most integrated Sensormatic EAS antennas connected to the auxiliary Serial port.
