PowerScan PD8500 Industrial Imager Barcode Reader
This rugged Datalogic PowerScan PD8500 2D barcode reader is reliable, affordable, and offers omnidirectional reading. It supports 1D, stacked and 2D codes, postal codes and image captures, and capable of multiple code reading in a single read. Its high resolution Mega-Pixel imaging sensor is capable of outstanding performance in industrial applications. PowerScan PD8500 is offered in three optic models. The Standard Range model for medium resolution codes, and the High Density model for high resolution barcodes. These are for typical barcode reading conditions. The Wide Angle model features a wider field of view that allows for the capture of larger and longer codes, as well as a full image capture. It is IP65 water particulate sealing rated.
Power Scan PD-8500 scanner features Datalogic’s 3 Green Lights (3GL) for superior good read feedback. The “Green Spot” directly on the code, and dual “Good Read” LEDs on the top and back of the cap of the scanner add increased visibility at any angle. Aiming at the image or barcode to be captured is easy and intuitive with the double-click trigger that enables the aimer, marking the four corners and center of the barcode reading area. PD8500 mechanics have been developed and tested to withstand harsh and extreme environmental conditions while maintaining consistent reading performance without degrading its performance or reliability. Its enclosure is well balanced and lightweight to ensure optimal user comfort during scan intensive operations. All PD8500 models have built-in multi-interface with RS-232, Keyboard Wedge and USB interfaces. The scanner also comes with the Datalogic Aladdin configuration program that provides user-friendly features to
simplify the start-up procedure to even new and inexperienced users.
