MS840B Rugged Wireless POS Scanner System - For Hands-Free Barcode Scanning
The MS840B is the latest Unitech MS840 wireless laser scanner suitable for use with most POS Systems. This reliable and cost effective cordless scanner has a powerful and high speed decoder that allows for data capture optimization. The MS840B wireless scanner supports multi-point-to-point and point-to-point that allows up to 3 scan guns to transmit data to a single base or cradle. It offers an increased flexibility to users who require the ability to move around with the scanner without cable restrictions while also maintaining maximum comfort over long periods for real-time barcode scanning and data collection.
This scanner can scan bar codes as far as 300 feet away from the host. When out of range, the MS840B automatically switches to buffer mode and starts storing the data in its built-in buffer. When it gets back within range, it will automatically upload the data. This feature makes the MS840B ideal for use in warehousing and retail point of sale, where accurate inventory and high checkout speed is required, and in healthcare where it is a requirement to administer correct medications. This durable cordless barcode reader has IP42 rated sealing against dust and water, and can withstand 6-foot drops to concrete. MS840 can survive most of the harshest environments while maintaining its high accuracy and performance.
The MS840B cordless scanner supports USB, Serial RS232, and Keyboard Wedge PS2 connections. The supported HID and SPP protocol helps users to connect the scanner directly to a PC or PDA. The scanner base or cradle can be mounted on a desk or wall. It is designed with a long life trigger and page button on the cradle to track the scanner. MS840B uses Lithium-ion battery with capacity of 1620mAh charged via the cradle. The battery gets fully charged in 4.5 hours, with operating time of over 10 hours. MS840 scanner is available in two models. While MS840-S0B0G0-SG comes with the scanner and power supply only, the MS840-SUBBGC-SG comes with the scanner, cradle and USB cable.
