Unitech MS830 Rugged Handheld Laser POS Scanner
The MS830 laser scanner from Unitech offers an ideal solution for variety of applications, including Point of Sale, warehouse and inventory tracking. The scanner has a reliable and efficient barcode reading and decoding that makes it easy to use, even as a data collection device. Its adjustable and clear beeper, coupled with a good read visible LED, allows the operator to confirm that the barcode is read and the data is successfully captured. The MS830 scanner features a built-in multi-interface connection that makes it easy and less expensive for the owner to replace or interchange the interface cable in case of cable damage or connection to a different host that has a different connection port. For example, if your existing connection is a keyboard wedge, and assuming that you purchased a new computer that has only USB connections. To connect your scanner to this new computer, instead of buying a new scanner with USB cable, you will just purchase only a USB cable and interchange the old keyboard wedge cable with the new USB cable, and then simply connect the old scanner to your new computer. This saves you money and time.
The Unitech MS830 laser scanner is ergonomically designed and with light weight construction that makes it comfortable and easy to use and maintain. With its adjustable hands-free stand, the MS830 can be used as a presentation scanner for automatic reading or scanning of barcodes. When the scanner is placed on the stand, the trigger is automatically activated, allowing the user to simply pass the barcode across without touching the scanner. The MS830 can also be used as a handheld device to scan a bar coded item that is far away from the scanner stand. When the scanner is not on its stand, the trigger is de-activated. To scan a barcode in the handheld mode, you simply point the laser gun to the target barcode and press the trigger. Also, the scanner is designed to meet multiple 5-foot drop to concrete. This scanner is more cost effective that other laser scanners in its class.
